STREAMSIDE AT POWDERHORN DESCRIPTION

The location

We named our condo "StreamSide" because it has what many people think of when they close their eyes and dream about their ideal condo location. Besides its idyllic setting, Streamside at Powderhorn Condominiums has one of the best ski in/ski out locations in Breckenridge: the Peak 9 base area. The QuickSilver hi-speed double-six person chair is a 5 minute walk. Down the path approximately 100 yards, over the bridge, and to the lift we go! Besides its ski-in/ski-out location, StreamSide at Powderhorn is nestled in a forested site adjacent to the Blue Stream, yet is only two blocks from Main Street (its where to go for restaurants, shopping and night life).

Besides ski in/ski out (a term we use to mean any accommodation which can quickly and easily access a lift without crossing a street, including slope-side units and those which are within a short walk), StreamSide at Powderhorn is trailside. It's next to the national forest and the TenMile Range, with its close-by fishing lake, mountain biking, hiking, beaver ponds, streams, and breathtaking views. StreamSide at Powderhorn has a very special additional location amenity: it’s within yards of the Blue River, with a balcony overlooking this beautiful mountain stream. StreamSide at Powderhorn is also close to downtown--approximately 2 blocks to Main Street. For the more leisurely, you can ride the free town shuttle which stops nearby. The shuttle runs very frequently and takes you to many locations along Main Street, the Super Recreation Center, the Ice Rink, and all of the ski area's base locations.

What do these location amenities mean to you? When you are on vacation, location is critical. For a large party, ski in/ski out, free shuttle, and walk-to-town convenience is very important. It means that all members of your party can come and go as they please, without the hassle of coordinating schedules, arranging rides, etc. It also means the kids can go skiing or have breakfast at a base-area restaurant without having to cross any streets, allowing mom and dad to sleep in without worrying about the children's safety. Non-skiers can get to downtown easily for shopping, galleries, dining and just enjoying the ambience that Breckenridge has to offer.

If there are skaters, the Maggie Pond (a small lake on the Blue Stream) is just down the path from your unit. Talk about convenience!

Being next to the national forest is also terrific, because you can snowshoe, ski cross country, fish, hike or bike to your heart's content by simply walking out your back door. There is an alpine lake within a 15 minute walk, an especially picturesque mountain tarn where you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise, watch the fish rise, or just enjoy the view. And the beauty of having a Stream side location is that you can enjoy the afternoon sun from your private balcony above the babbling stream to read, meditate, or just relax. Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Rest assured, StreamSide at Powderhorn's location is one of the best you will find in Breckenridge--an ambience that very few vacation rentals can offer.

StreamSide at Powderhorn

StreamSide at Powderhorn is a private condominium in the Powderhorn complex.  This two-bedroom, 2-1/2 bath, single level condominium sleeps 8 people and is attractive and well maintained. The great room includes a nicely furnished living room and sitting area (den), a dining area with table for 6, and well-equipped kitchen with a bar for three people. The living room features a private balcony overlooking the Blue Stream and a gas fireplace. The dining room, with seating for six, has a beautiful view of the towering pines above and the Blue Stream below.  The master and guest bedrooms will greet you with this same warm and well-appointed look and feel.

The master spacious master bedroom boasts a queen-size bed, TV, and easy-chair, double vanity and shower/tub combination. The guest bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and a full bath (shower/tub). There are two sofa-sleepers in the living area, both of which make into a queen bed. This unit is also equipped for high-speed Internet and local telephone service.

The unit is steps away from the covered parking garage. Although free and private underground parking makes it easy to use your own vehicle, for added convenience, a free and private shuttle stops near the complex and takes you around town or to the ski bases at Peaks 8 and 9. Also, the Summit Stage, a free county wide bus system, connects with the free town shuttle. This means you have convenient, free access to the Summit County's other world-class ski resorts: Copper Mountain, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin.

StreamSide at Powderhorn is non-smoking and does not allow pets.
