The Alpenview Lite 4 bdrm lodge is a Breckenridge, Colorado, ski resort lodging and vacation rental with accommodations for up to 18 people with slopeside ski-in/ski-out and walk-to-town accessibility.
Alpenview Lite is a four bedroom configuration (the lower two floors) of our flagship property, the AlpenView Chateau. It is a magnificent private residence designed for entertaining at its best and furnished to delight the most discriminating tastes. It is spectacularly situated, satisfying almost every location need imaginable for your vacation: slopeside (the snowflake ski trail cuts across the property--ski right to the lift); next to the national forest with private access to a quiet mountain stream, 5-minute walk to a peaceful lake with lofty peaks in the background and unlimited hiking possibilities; 10 minute walk to the town shuttle; views of Mt. Baldy and Red Mountain; sunny southern exposure, and plenty of off-street parking. What do these location amenities mean to you? When you are on vacation, location is everything. For a large party, slopeside and walk-to-town-shuttle convenience is very important. It means that all members of your party can come and go as they please, without the hassle of coordinating schedules, arranging rides, etc. It also means the kids can hop on the slope and ski to the Snowflake chairlift without having to cross any streets, allowing mom and dad to sleep in without worrying about the children's safety. Being next to the national forest is also wonderful, because you can snowshoe, cross country ski, fish, hike or bike to your heart's content by simply walking out your back door. There is an alpine lake within a 5 minute walk where you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise, watch the fish rise, or just enjoy the view. If you want a very private setting, there is a small stream adjacent to the property for you to reflect, meditate, or just relax. The location of Alpenview itself offers a wonderful setting without even leaving the house! You can feast on mountain or forest views from the comfort of your living room, or from its 5 sun-splashed decks and balconies. Enjoy the morning sun from the living room and family room decks; the afternoon sun from the kitchen and bdrm #5 decks; and a summer sunset from the master bedroom balcony. AlpenView Lite itself is an architectural delight. Plentiful windows ensure that the outdoors is an integral part of your experience. Two magnificent stone chimneys stand as towers at the front of the house. The moss rock and rough cedar exterior combine to provide an authentic Rocky Mountain appearance. The corbeled gables, sandstone sills and headers, and arched beams add elegant accents to please the eye. The interior of Alpenview Lite is elegant yet comfortable, exquisite but warm, and resides nearly 10,000 feet above sea level high in the Rocky Mountains. The entrance to each room is graced with knotty alder 2-panel arched top doors. As you explore the creature comforts of AlpenView Lite, your spirits will soar like the eagles! Open beam construction; built-in custom cabinetry; and red oak, tile and luxuriously carpeted floors all await your enjoyment. The living room and family rooms are graced by massive stone fireplaces. The wet bar and kitchen offer Viara (TM-imported from India) and Verde Butterfly (TM-imported from Brazil) granite slab countertops, and hickory and wormy maple custom cabinetry, respectively, for your entertaining enjoyment. Your chef will feel right at home with the Sub-Zero (TM), Viking (TM), and Jennair (TM) stainless steel, professional-grade appliances. The sunny breakfast nook is one place you are sure to linger, with its intimate vaulted ceiling and stunning mountain and forest views to enjoy. Each of the four bedrooms is a suite, with its own private bath--some with walk-in closets, some with vaulted ceilings, and one--the master bedroom--with its own private balcony. The study has a connecting bath, making it comparable to an 8th bedroom. Sleeping up to 18 persons, you can also dine, relax and play without feeling crowded. The formal area of the house (living room, wet bar, dining room, and study and main floor bath) can be closed off from the kitchen and family room, offering the adults a private getaway for an evening of reminiscing about those parallel turns you carved so beautifully while the kids can be entertained by your nanny at the family end of the house. Pocket doors ensure privacy between these two large spaces. For those who want to watch a movie, play pool or table games, or soak in the outdoor spa, the recreation complex on the lower level provides these facilities, complete with wet bar. Still others may want to spend a quiet evening in the main floor library to read, write or talk, or if you bring your portable pc, surf the internet or visit your email center to stay in touch with the folks back home. For your convenience, an elevator serving all both floors is available at extra cost.
